Sound Springs
Created during the SIM residency program in Reykjavik, this sound-based sculpture is inspired by the dynamism of water, which is, from hot springs, and waterfalls, to the ocean, one of the fundamental elements shaping Iceland.
The form of this installation intends to present a synthetic version of a natural hot spring made of steel, wires and vibrations. A low-frequency composition, interacting with the plates, mimics an imaginary geothermal activity, the kind of behaviour I had the chance to witness exploring Iceland.
